Bargains and Basketball

The day started with wishing Scott farewell as he left for China this morning. Do you think Scott planned his trip to conincide with our visit?  We may never know.

Ann wanted us to experience Sat. morning as a local.  So off we went to the Geneva flea market.  Audrey was soo in her element.  Everything you can think of was there for sale and more.  We both walked out with what we thought were some great bargins.

We then came back home to check on Tilly and Conner and have a bite to eat.  Lunch with Ann is always great.  Local cheese, salad, and cantalope were just a few things offered.

So Tilly (the dog) wouldn't feel neglected when we left again, Ann and Tammy took her for a walk down the railroad tracks.

All day, Chris was participating in a local school basketball tourament.  So we all went to watch the last game of the day.  CDL is his school and the score was 41 to 9.  They killed the other team.  Not a lot of parents there to watch the game, which Ann says is quite normal.

Just before we left for supper, a hedge hog showed up in their back yard.  He was spotted compliments of Tilly.  Conner loved the hedge hog.

Dinner was at the local pizza place.  We did not need to drive, as it was within walking from the house.  There were only maybe 8 tables in the whole place and pizzas were cooked in a wood fire oven in the wall at the back of the room.  Local wine was served along with our own custom made pizzas. Again we had the table for the night.

Tomorrow the weather is finally going to change.  Chris has a  game at 9 am.  So after that we will be playing it by ear.
