Frantic!

So Belle never did meet me at the McDonalds at the Kuala Lumpur Airport......Our plan was to meet when she arrived at 3pm so I waited and waited and after about an hour I started worrying......sort of a minor version of the movie "Frantic" with Harrison Ford.......strange country and not knowing where your girl is. I checked with Malaysia Air and they told me that she was definitely on the flight that arrived on time so of course I started looking for her all over the airport. Finally it dawned on me that since she had such a short time between flights, she probably was not allowed to leave and clear customs and immigration so I proceeded through the international departures and went to our gate........and there she was.......by then I was drenched in sweat but was glad to see her. So we finally got on our plane and we were on our way to India! Everything went smoothly with our transfer from the airport to the hotel and looking at the scenery (at night) it sort of reminded me of a much bigger Kathmandu or Lima. Our hotel is nice and clean (all we could ever ask for) and after a much needed hosing down (a vichy shower would have been nice...........eh Nadine) we went for a late nite snack and I had my first cup of Chai......simply amazing. We also split a dish of Kesari Kaju Paneer which is unfermented cheese in a sauce and we gladly scooped it up with some tasty chapati bread....LET THE GASTRONOMICAL ONSLAUGHT BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
