Kuala Lumpur

The other day I was up to my knees and elbows in mud in the jungle, today and yesterday afternoon I have been wandering about among designer shops in airconditioned shopping malls in giant skyscarpers.  Bit of a change, its hot here too.. KL is nice, lots of very shiny skyscrapers.  This morning we went up the KL tower, the view from the top is great.  The city seems to have been built among the jungle, so lots of treew with huge buildings sticking out and big roads with glinting cars and monorail etc and a great view of the mountains in the background.  Pretty cool.

After this I had (another of my new favorite foods) roti canai (flatbread with dhal for dipping) and some ice tea, complete with milk and sugar that was surprisingly nice! 

A woman stopped to ask me what was wrong with my skin a bit later - she meant the freckles...

Off to Singapore tomorrow for a few days before heading to Sydney.  Hope everyone at home is feeling Christmassy!  Its really wierd over here, there are Christmas decorations and CHristmas music but it all feels so out of place in the heat!
