End of Australia -again
Hello, the computer in the airport obviously didn't like what I had written so all the text seemed to get lost form my last post... will try to summarise what I wrote...
Right so from Brisbane I went up to Hervey bay and chilled out on the beach, saw dolphins swimming along the shore which was pretty cool. Didn't go to Frazer Island as I didn't have much time. Then I headed up to Airlie beach to go sailing in the Whitsubdays for 3 days. This was great! The weather was beautiful (not a lot of wind, boo).. I did lots of diving and snorkelling and saw lots of fish and swam with a turtle under the water, pretty cool! We went to whithaven beach which was beautiful and I saw a reef shark surfing in the waves in the shallows. After sailing I went to Cairns and spent a day up the mountain at a little town where there was a koala zoo thing, I saw crocodiles and koalaa and I stroked a wallaby, cool.
Then I flew back to Sydney and went camping in the blue mountains with Saf and Laura. We had so much stuff it was ridiculous, for only 2 days and we still managed to be totally unprepared for cooking, had to have makeshift plates the first night until we bought plastic ones the next day and we had to drink rum and coke out of oue empty beer bottles... excellent. The blue mountains are really beautiful, we were camping near a look out point on the edge of a huge cliff thing so great views during the day and lots of stars at night. We had a bit of a walk about in the gorge (we went down on a very steep railway), the rainforest is pretty cool, lots of wierd trees. The second evenings dinner was more well equiped and very relaxed with lots of red wine chosen with the help of our new knowledge of wine gained from wine tasting in the morning...
Then we headed back to Sydney, Laura cut my hair with a scalpel (I like it) and then Saf anf I went to the moonlight cinema in centennial park. We saw Nacho Libre which was a bit rubbish but the atmosphere was great. We rented a beanbag to sit on and took a picnic, it was really nice to be outside!
Then the next morning I left for the airport and New Zealand for more adventures.
