The view is amazing

Wow, well I've hardly stopped since I arrived here.  I arrived in Christchurch last Sunday afternoon.  I found my way to the hostel then dunped my bags and went to find the notice board to look for people who wanted travel friends.  I found an ad from someone looking for people to hire a car with so I sent a message.  We met up and went for dinner.  They said they were leaving the next morning which seemed very soon so I said I'd think about it.  So I went back to my room and talked to a couple of guys who were in there who said I should go for it.  So I'm now travelling with Luci from Germany and Michal from Isreal in a car that reallly doesn't like hills... and there are lots of those here.  So far we've been to the Banks Peninsula which was amazingly beautiful, its made from an old volcano so is circular with sea coming right into the centre.  After this we headed towards Mount Cook which is again amazingly beautiful and rugged and jagged and snow topped.  We went for a walk up the Hooker valley to the lake which had amazing views of the mountains (you're sensing a theme here..)  The place we stayed also had a view of the mountains (altough no on the 1st morning - no mountains only cloud!)
