Wanaka

Quick post..

Wanaka seems nice, have been pretty busy since arriving and am now about to leave...

We went rock climbing for a day which was great fun, hard work too.  It felt so good when you get to the top of the rock face!  We clmbed about 6 different routes I think.  The last one was a big crack in the rock running diagoinally up the face with no reall footholds, just had to get a good hand hold and then sort of run your feet up the walll, I liked it.  After this we went for a quick swim in the lake to refresh ourselves, was watmer than lake tekapo...

Yesterday we went canyonning. Very cool, lots of abseiling down waterfalls and jumping of rocks into frezzing pools and sliding down waterfalls, head first and feet first.  The river came from a snowmelt so its pretty cold...

Last night we went to the cinema, saw apocalypto in a cool place with loads of sofas instead of proper chairs and cookies and wine in the intermission.  Excellent

Today we head to Franz Josef to see the glacier.
