Meet my peeps........

Posted on Jun. 13, 2007 at 04:25 in Europe (Subscribe)
Hola, It is probably time that I told you a little about the peeps on vacation with me. There are about 30 people...4 Kiwi's, 4 Canadians (including moi), and the rest are Aussie's. One of the Canadian boys is actually from Calgary! The tour director is a Kiwi and our driver (Pietro) is Italian and doesn't know English very well. Everyone ranges in age from 21 to 35 and they all love to party! One of the Aussie's proposed to his girlfriend on the Eiffel Tower. How amazing is that, eh? Two other Aussies (Jon and Kelly) are celebrating their honeymoon almost two years after their marriage. Jon is Italian and both him and Kelly are hairdressers with their own salon back in Oz. There is one other couple and then everyone else is single. Four people have already hooked up and there are other romances that are beginning to blossom. The singles on tour....There is Sara who was just accepted onto the Australian Salsa Team. I totally out-salsa'd her in Madrid though! Haha...I wish. There are the Mazzaratti sisters (Natalie, Melanie, and Stephanie). All three are teachers and absolutely gorgeous. Stephanie is the youngest and she is my favorite...I love hangin' with her. There are the three boys (better known as the dirty sanchez's) and they have partied every night so far and are generally missing until 3 or 4 in the afternoon. There are a few people that I am closest with and we typically spend most of our time together. There are my 3 Aussie girls - Linda from Melbourne is the chatty one of our group, Ange from Brisbane who is the sweet quiet one, and Heidi, the drop-dead supermodel, who is also a Brizzy girl. Heidi and I are inseperable and have agreed that if we move to Paris that we will share a flat together. Another member of our crew is Jorge, the Aussie stripper, that used to tour with Australia's Man Power. His father owns a place in Greece, so Jorge is fluent in Greek and will ensure that we have an amazing time while we're there. And finally there is Mark. He has taken 6 months off of work to travel. He travelled through Eastern Europe before this tour. He has also been to the US and to lots of places in Canada, so he is a great bloke to chat with. Mark works for a company that just acquired one of my clients so we can even have some professional discussions. I think I should expense a portion of my trip since I'm doing "bin'ness". I'm sure I'll have more stories as the trip progresses, so hopefully now you'll be more familiar with the characters. But onto my favorite peeps.... Even though I have only been away for a little over a week, I am missing everyone so soooo much! - M & M...I couldn't live anywhere without both of you being with me. Hope you're prepared to move if I fall in love with Europe. - Ma familia...I look at pictures of Emalee, Landon, Payton, and "da tank" Riley everyday. - Princess Tam Tam...how are Justice and Bianca, my two little Princesses-in-training? - R-dub...if you lost the backpack in Madrid or Barcelona, we'd be fubar'd! You just stick to ordering cerveza's. (BTW...tell Eb, T-dot, Odie, and Barb that they have the 5 doll-hair boys here and I saw a bust!) - Caro...on my return, I propose we run together over lunch. The giff is having trouble saying "no" to all this wonderful food and drink and may need you to whip her back into shape. (Everytime I order sangria (which is usually every day at lunch through to dinner) I think of you buddy) - Milkman...drinking wine without you is just not the same. - Monsieur FooFoo...I miss your bbq's so much! (not that I am going hungry...it's just not the same) - Chairman...I could have used your num-chucks on Minnie Mouse the other day. I need you buddy. - Soph et Julie...merci beaucoup pour les etudies en Francais. Vous etes formidable!! (You are both rolling your eyes at my French, aren't you?) - Dino...I am counting down the days until I get to Italy and I am practicing my Italiano on the driver. Molto bene! - TW...The Moulin Rouge was very impressed with my stage performance and have offered me a job. I turned it down though as one of the outfits was pink. Yuck. - Rodrigu...forget the Legend of Zorro in Spain... I have actually heard many stories about the Legend of Claudio. The women can only recall tales of this legendary God, but the stories of the Prince of Party run from coast to coast. (And p.s....I didn't reveal your whereabouts as I'm sure the women would flock to Calgary) - Drizzla and Prince...I ate at a restaurant in Barcelona and a soccer player showed up (don't ask me who it was. If it was an NFL player, I could have listed his college ball stats...but I am lost when it comes to the soccer players.) Anyways, you would have thought the King of Spain was there...those futbol'ers are treated like royalty. - C-Mac...what's the dilly? Any news yet? And I hope all is well with Kev. - B...you better be gearing up for Stampede. I'm training like a professional athlete right now and I don't think you have a hope in hell of keeping up! For everyone else that I haven't mentioned...I miss you so much. Your smiles, your laughs, and your beautiful mugs are in my thoughts everyday. Buenas tardes, Giff
We miss you too!

Hey Jodie... Nun-chuks on Minnie Mouse? I can't wait to hear the story when you get back.

Anyways, sounds like you are having a blast overseas and that you are in good hands over there. As I write this, I am clearing the fog that is in my head from another Funday in Toronto. I was awesome, but it was weird not having you around. You were dearly missed here! Make sure you check your V-Mail as we left you a message from Rusty's "after hours" party back at the Pantages.

Anyways, I think I need to throw up... looking forward to more of your blogs and hearing more about your trip.

Take care my friend...

Chairman
Love the stories, Doll!
