Dies ist ein wunderbars Land!

(The title means "this is a wonderful land") Hi everyone. HAPPY CANADA DAY!!! I am sportin' my Canada t-shirt and a little maple leaf tattoo and randomly scream out "happy Canada Day" so that the Aussies and the Kiwi's don't forget that this day is all about me and the other 3 Canucks on board. I am just leaving Munich and on my way to Lichenstein and Lucerne. I absolutely love Munich and wish I could stay longer. I will add it to the list of places that I will come back to visit. When we first arrived in Munich we went to the city center and Heidi, Deb, Vicki, and I hired a couple of rickshaw (sp?) bicycles to take us around and show us some of the main sights. He ended up taking us to the nude park and there were tons of people walking around completely buck-ass naked. Those Germans are so carefree. There were tons of stag and stagette parties going on and also tons of futbol teams getting cheeky. After dinner we went to Hofbrauhaus...a massive pub that has a Bavarian band playing German pub songs, little waitresses in the traditional beer wench outfit, and of course, huge steins of beer. The steins are so big its almost impossible to lift one, but the best beer wenches can carry 6 in each hand! They heave them onto their breasts and use their chest as a tray. What boy would not love Munich?? The Hofbrauhaus is spread both indoor and outdoor and has huge wooden tables and benches. You just sit wherever you can find a spot which is a great way to meet people. I ended up spending the entire night with two local girls - Silke and Melanie. Silke spoke amazing English and wants to come to Canada to visit me. I also met a bunch of Canadian pilots (they work for Air Canada) and we shared some beers and cheers for Canada Day. Our tour director told us before we went to the Hofbrauhaus to not even try to smuggle a beer stein out as they check at the door. You could buy the beer steins from the pub though. But I am my mothers daughter... so not only did I smuggle out TWO beer steins, but I also had them full of beer!! I love to not just defy the impossible, but to completely obliterate it!! I am still working towards the finesse that my mom has with the "bar glass smuggle"....where not only did she get a set of 12 glasses but she had the bartender provide the bag for her to smuggle her glasses out in. Anyways, monster steins of beer equals a wee hangover. Ich hab' ein Kater...which means "I'm hungover" but literally translated it means "I have a tomcat". Today I will be visiting the Neuschwanstein Castle which is something straight out of a fairytale. Emalee...your best friend Jodie is going to be a princess today! Maybe I will be fortunate enough to meet my prince too? I hope all is well back home. I'm really missing everyone and am looking forward to seeing everyone very soon. Prost (Cheers), Giff
