It's a start
Hey everyone!
We got back yesterday from an amazing weekend on an overnight boat trip in Milford Sound. It was gorgeous, the mountain cliffs come straight out of the water and they are 2000-3000 feet tall! I got to go sea kyacking right in the middle of all that with penguins and seals! It was awesome. The trip there however was not so pleasant as it was a winding road and a few of us had indulged in a few too many of the local Speights Ale. Driving 5 hours was not exactly on the top of my list of things to do! On the way home we got to stop at these crazy glow worm caves which looked like you were staring up at the stars. Anyhow, here's a few pictures to start, theres many more to come. The first is me sitting on the trusses on our 3 build day. The second is Mariana, from North Carolina; Soriya, from Green Bay; Jennifer, from Vancouver; and myself at a Bed and Breakfast dinner a little ways out of town. So many sheep were there. The third is me on our boat The Wanderer, it was pretty chilly and no one could figure out why I was walking around in bare feet. The fourth is Pearl, Mariana and myself in that sicking van about to drive through a tunnel through a mountain, unlike any tunnels i've seen in BC. And the fifth is just a shot of a waterfall, one of the hundreds in Milford Sound. The mountains are pure rock so the water has nothing to sink in to, it makes for quite a sight. We were supposed to be building today, but we're not allowed on the roof because it's raining too hard so we have the morning off and are hoping for sunny skies in the afternoon! It was nice to get to a camera shop to get these pictures tho, they are usually closed when we're off work at the end of the day. Anyways I'd better get back atter. Miss you all, more pics to come!
Cheers,
Wee One
