Bungyyyyyy

Trilology.  That's the name of the bungy combo I've mixed myself up in!  These pics are from my first bungy jump ever.  It's called the Kawarau Bridge and it is the Original bungy site, 43m high.  So kind of cool to say my first jump was "the" first jump.  So yeah, five of us went on this jump and it was all of our first times.  HUGE adrenaline rush afterwards that lasted for 5 or 6 hours.  It was sooooooo cool.  That was Friday morning.  Saturday night (lastnight) I did a jump called The Ledge, it over looks the whole town of Queenstown.  The Ledge is 47m and there's no water beneath you.  The guy, Block, who strapped me in told me to walk BACKWARDS toward the ledge, then he held my cord and told me to lean back off the edge, right buddy, so i do, he tells me he's gonna count down 3,2,1 and then drop me.  I'm freaking out and he's like just look into my eyes and trust me.  oooookayyyyy.  Then they take your picture, he says smile and wave to the cameras on your right so i do and he DROPS me, man that was scarey droppin backwards off that ledge.  Pretty good pics to come, the best ones were taken by Koi, a woman on my team who stood off to the side, i'

But i can't really put that on the blog site.  THIS MORNING i was supposed to do Nevis Bungy.  It's the biggest bungy in New Zealand at 134m.  I was sooooo stoked, going to do it with my buddy from the habitat team Daniel, and this gnarly guy we met on our first jump, Peter.  8 am was our jump time.  Google The Nevis Bungy images and you will find some pretty crazy pictures!  Anyways, i woke up at 6:50 to pack my stuff and get to the pick up station.  I go to put my contacts in and a muscle spasms out of control in my back. I can't move, or do anything so I lay down on the floor.  Marianna and Suryia are sleepin gin the room and I can't move haha.  So I call Marianna for help and all she can say is Nooooo I'm not doing Nevis.  Haha after some more beckoning she woke up and dosed me up with drugs but i layed there on the floor in the hallway for an hour and a half before i could move, she iced my back and Suryia went to the station to tell Daniel and Peter I couldn't make it because I couldn't move..  that SUCKED.  What was worse was meeting up wtih them afterwards and hearing how great it was, so I rescheduled my Nevis jump for tomorrow morning at 8am... by myself..... yikes. 440 feet.....8 seconds of free fall....the only suspended bungy jump in the world.... you jump out of a cable car........ it's supposed to be nice out so i should have some blue sky pics.

Chapter 2 of my little "adventure" is starting tomorrow when everyone I've met on the habitat trip has gone home, acctually I might meet up with Suriya later on, but right now she's hiking for 8 days, not for me.  So tomorrow I'll rent a car I'd imagine and drive till I wish to stop.  OH and something else neat, our team leaders, Mike and Donna got engaged yesterday.  Mike proposed on the ledge of the bungy at Kawaru Bridge (where I'm standing in the picture)  I wasn't there but it was supposed to be pretty sweet.  I don't think I was supposed to tell anyone haha. ohhhhhh wellllllllll.  Cute.  I'll have more pics tomorrow when I get my camera put on a cd.  Pics including a trip to an ice bar where everything in the bar including the glasses, seats and bar top, walls, were made of ice, pretty cool.  Some build pics, a streaker we saw run accross a plane runway when we tried to skydive (it was too cloudy) and then i guess some scenery if anyone wants it.  ANYWAYS now I am off to go enjoy a massage and try to fix my little back muscle.  Nevis here I come!!!!!
