Byron Bay

Hey there,

Next stop on the whirlwind adventure of the East Coast was Byron Bay...which started with a 2 hour mini bus ride south of Brisbane with a bunch of 'schoolies' going to 'let their hair down' ......and the rest after leaving school. I decided to look cool and keep in with the kids by falling head first into the mini-bus (katy,chris, andrew you would've been mortified!)

We stayed at the Arts Factory which is a brilliant place with funky accommodation including teepees and a double-decker bus but we opted for the one in the forest with the outdoor balinese bathroom (see pics)....we got grasshoppers and spiders for free!! The place was beautiful and cheap - totally recommend it!

The next morning we went for a some well deserved spa treatments (well we thought so anyway) - cheap as chips again.....

The  next day the weather was a little temperamental (think I will have to invest in the fake tan before I head home!) and we spent most of the day in the travel agents sorting out the final phase of our mini adventure!

Byron Bay - brilliant place to chill and look after yourself but also good to party........(if you aren't too old like us!!)

Next Stop bus and train and bus and boat to Fraser Island...
