Analipsi & Chersonissus via Quad

Posted on Jun. 19, 2006 at 13h09 in Crete 2006 (Subscribe)

We rented 2 Quads (small 4 weel drive tractor) and drove through the beach road. the road was very thin and old, the asfalt was very dry and full of holes and bumps - but this was most of the fun.

With the Quad we could actually "smell" the road, the view, the trees and the places we visit. The roads led us up the mountain, down t the beach, back to the main road and through the new national road, then back under a bridge to a deserted beach in Analipsi.

It was close to a Resort but the sandy beach was quiet and deserted. We enjoyed riding the Quad near the water, fighting the small waves hiting the sand and trying to drive through the dry sand some 20 meters from the sea shore.

I highly recommend doing the Quad thing as it is much fun, safer thanthe scooter, easy to ride and easy to navigate. Expect to pay 15 - 20 Euro per day including insurance.
