It does rain in Oz!!!!

We had typical Bank holiday weather!!! we went down to Byron Bay, queued for ages to get into the town tho! think there was some kind of festival on or somethin because there were lots of tents! then as we got there it poured with rain so didnt really see much of it! i decided i didnt like it there, might have been just because the weather was poo but there were also too many beards and flowers for my liking! deff hippy town!! So we had a drive about instead, had to queue to get out of the town aswell because a van had gone down a ditch! these people dont know how to drive in the rain like us Brits!!

The next day we went up Mt Coot-tha, which gives you views over Brisbane city.  The city is so small and the buildings arent very high, its tiny compared to New York and LA! There are lots of nice walking places up the mountain and good drives so we did that for the rest of the day, our last day with the car, no more near death experiences up mountains with dad squealing the tyres around corners and nearly tipping us off mountains, and doing handbrake turns when weve gone the wrong way.......................

The next day we chilled out on our local beach and went for a walk at the top of the beach, admiring all the mansions and wishing we were rich enough to have one!

Tuesday we went to Surfers again and went to the Hard Rock Cafe for tea! yum! and then on the way back we went up Q1, the tallest residential tower in the world, also the 20th tallest building in the world! it is 322 metres high and has an observation deck on the 77th floor, the view was absolutely beautiful but we are also going to do it in the day. it gives you a 360 degree view of the Gold Coast. and then we walked all the way home....bout 5 miles!!!! arent we good!!

then yesterday we went to Currumbin Wildlife sanctuary and me and mum got to cuddle a Koala!!! and stroke a snake (not quite as nice!)

today we are off swimming in a little inlet from the sea that looks really nice, and not so violent!

I want a koala!
