Sydney
i tried to write an entry from the airport in Sydney, spent ages doing it and then when i clicked add new post, it was blank! was free internet tho so maybe it wasnt allowed!!
Sydney was beautiful especially at night, i prefered brisbane though! sydney is really busy and there are hundreds of chinese people! our hotel was in the middle of china town which might explain it a bit!
we went on a boat trip around the harbour to see the bridge and the opera house, mum didnt like it much because he drove too fast and it was a bit bouncy! me and dad loved it though and it was well worth doing. i was really surprised with the opera house, i imagined it to be bright white but its a creamy colour, the reflection of the sun would blind you otherwise! and its made out of hundreds of ceramic tiles! pretty impressive though! and the bridge is nice, i was tempted to do the bridge climb but its takes about three hours and costa a few hundred dollars!! didnt really have enough time! we went up the tallest tower in Sydney though which was amazing views! done alot of high up things this hol! the tower is the same height as the Eiffel tower! they only have a couple of small lifts going up and down so we spent most of the day queueing! you can also do a sky walk off the tower - go out on a glass platform and look down! again very tempted but that was also pretty expensive and took hours!
after the tower we sat in Hyde Park!!! and watched a man splashing around in the fountain wearing a kind of Mr Darcy out fit and being filmed!! think he was doing an advert or something but it was funny to watch!!
we also went on a submarine and world war 2 boat and into the maritime museum, kept dad happy looking at engines and stuff!!
on our last day we went into a chinese garden and drank proper green tea! lovely! and someone was getting married there! lovely place to get wed!
I did really like Sydney, its very classy, especially by the harbour, but the people appear to be a bit snobby! we felt a bit out of place at night in our shorts and flip flops, everyone was dressed really posh! so i wouldnt want to live there but its lovely to visit!
